Delete your account

PYQDeck accounts are optional — question papers, solutions, the syllabus, and search all work without one. If you created an account and want it gone, you can delete it yourself in the app, or ask us to do it by email. Either way the deletion is permanent.

In the Android app

  1. Open PYQDeck and go to the Settings screen.
  2. Under Account, tap your name.
  3. Choose Delete account and confirm.

By email

If you can’t install the app, email raiyanhasan2006@gmail.com from the address you signed up with, asking for your account to be deleted. We action these within 30 days and reply once it is done. Sending from the signed-up address is what lets us confirm the request is really yours.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and sign-in details — your email address, and the name and profile picture taken from Google or GitHub if you used those. Removed from Clerk, which handles our sign-in.
  • Your profile record on PYQDeck — the row linking your account to anything you did on the site.
  • Your solution votes — deleted with the account. The totals shown on a solution are adjusted accordingly.
  • Reports you filed — reports about a wrong or incomplete solution are tied to your account and are deleted with it. Any fix already made to a solution stays, since that is part of the shared archive.
  • The link to your device — if you allowed notifications, the record connecting your account to that device is removed. The device keeps receiving general updates unless you turn notifications off.

What stays

Question papers, solutions, and syllabus content are the shared archive and are not tied to your account, so they remain — including any correction that came from a report you filed. Server request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) are kept briefly for abuse prevention and are not linked to your identity.

Retention

Deleting from inside the app takes effect immediately. Backups holding a copy of the deleted record are rotated out within 30 days, after which no copy remains.
