Two Methods of External Recruitment [2 Marks]

Any two:

1. Advertisement (Media): Vacancies advertised in newspapers, journals, company website, job portals (Naukri, LinkedIn). Widest reach, attracts large pool.
2. Employment Exchange / Agencies: Government-run exchanges and private consultants (e.g., ABC Consultants) that register job seekers and employers.

Other valid options (write any two):

• Campus Recruitment: Visiting colleges/IITs/IIMs for fresh graduates - e.g., TCS at engineering campuses.
• Walk-ins / Gate Hiring: Direct application at factory gate for unskilled labour.
• E-Recruitment: Online portals, social media hiring.
• Labour Contractors: For casual/seasonal labour.
• Recommendation of Existing Employees (considered external in some books as source is outside but via referral).

Benefit: Fresh talent, wider choice. Demerit: Costly, time-consuming, demotivates existing staff.
