Continuous Happiness

1. What Continuous Happiness Means

Happiness = state of harmony inside — when Self is in harmony (thought, intention aligned with natural acceptance). Continuous happiness = happiness that is sustainable without interruption, not momentary excitement that fades or depends on external xx always being favourable.

  • Momentary happiness (excitement): from favourable sensation (tasty food, praise) but decays when sensation leaves, and needs repetition.
  • Continuous happiness: from right understanding + right feeling (e.g., clarity, trust), which persists even when external conditions vary, because it rests on understanding, not only sensation.

2. Why Human Wants Continuous Happiness

Natural acceptance verification: "Do I want happiness that comes and goes, or that stays?" → answer is continuous — no one accepts unhappiness as natural. This desire is universal and invariant with time (not culture-bound).

3. How Achieved (preview of course)

Short-term happiness can be via sensation (physical facility) and feeling (right feeling in Self). Sensation-based alone is limited and requires continuous consumption (and physical facility is limited). Understanding-based (right understanding about Self, relationships, harmony) gives continuity because understanding does not deplete.

So right understanding + right feeling in Self + required physical facility ⇒ continuous happiness. Without right understanding, even abundant facility ⇒ still unhappiness (e.g., rich but lonely).

4. Worked Checks

Proposal: "Human wants continuous happiness and it is achievable through right understanding."
Self-verify: Do I want it only sometimes? No. Have I felt happiness that lasted vs faded after event? Identify which came from understanding (e.g., helping, clarity) vs sensation (e.g., sweet).

Example: Buying phone gives happiness that fades in weeks; trust with friend gives happiness that sustains.
