Natural acceptance of human values
1. What Natural Acceptance Means
Natural acceptance = what is naturally acceptable to the Self, without external influence, verified on your own right — it is invariant with time, not dependent on place or person, and does not need to be created, only recognized. It is the inbuilt guidance of the Self (like e.g., need for happiness, need for respect).
2. Characteristics (exam list)
| Feature | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Invariant | Does not change with time (what you accept now vs 10 years ago for basic values same) |
| Universal | Same for every human (everyone accepts happiness, respect) |
| Not dependent on pre-conditioning | Beyond learned beliefs, it is innate |
| Not dependent on sensation | Not because tasty, but because right |
| Verifiable | Can be verified by self-exploration, not by dogma |
3. Natural Acceptance vs Pre-conditioning
| Natural Acceptance | Pre-conditioning |
|---|---|
| From Self, innate | From society, family, media learned |
| Stable | Changes with conditioning |
| Leads to harmony | May lead to conflict |
4. How to Check Natural Acceptance
Ask yourself without fear or greed: "Is it naturally acceptable to me that ...?" Examples:
- "Do I naturally accept to be happy?" — Yes.
- "Do I naturally accept to be respected?" — Yes.
- "Do I naturally accept exploitation of nature?" — No.
5. Role in UHV
Natural acceptance is the instrument for self-verification — proposals are tested against it. It is the basis for human values (values are what is naturally acceptable).
